From his first role in the 1993 production of the Odd Couple to this show, Dennis has either been onstage or directed over two dozen Circle Theatre productions. In recent years however his preference has been toward directing. His magnum opus production of 1776 is the one he is most proud. Other memorable shows he's directed include Inherit the Wind, I Don't Live There Anymore, Annie, Once Upon a Mattress, and many more. He freely admits that none of these shows would have been as successful as they were without the hard work of his Producer and wife, Linda. His eternal thanks go out to her for her patience and commitment to the crazy projects he's gotten her involved in. Dennis is set to direct CT's next show, The Red Velvet Cake War.
Frank Young is from Hampton, SC and has appeared in several productions including Grease, A Christmas Carol, South Pacific, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Wizard of Oz and several adaptations of Salkehatchie Stew. He is no stranger to CT as he is the father of the multitalented Marion Young.
Frank is married to the wonderful Becky Young; they also have an extraordinary daughter Rebecca who is married to the ever-patient Jim Matthews, and they are the parents of three outstanding grandchildren.
Frank’s theatre experiences have been a tremendous boost to his ongoing role as wrangler for the herd of cats presently roaming in and around his home.

She and her husband, Roger, have been married 34 years and they have 3 daughters, 6 grand-daughters, and a pack of border collies and Aussies.

This is her first CT production. As a student, she did school and church performances. As a teenager, she participated in performances through Art Summer with Coker University in her hometown of Hartsville. She also performed with Hartsville's Center Theater several times, and she helped with backstage work and helped to control the fly system.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, studying languages, and spending time with her two fur babies.

Brenda Chorn, a West Virginia gal, met Michael, a California guy, and they got married. They moved to the west coast, only to be there 3 1/2 years. They chose South Carolina as their next stop in 2005. Almost 4 years ago, they made their last stop in Barnwell as their forever home! They've lived here happily ever since.
Brenda is no longer a newbie to Circle Theatre since she played the intended victim in murder mystery, Death and Taxes.
Brenda and Michael have two lovely daughters, a beautiful granddaughter, and a handsome grandson.

A Special Thank You to Gary Brantley and Tri-County Pallet for the generous contribution to our audio equipment.
Caroline is a Circle Theatre veteran as she has been involved in theatre since she was 10. Besides acting, she also loves to do set design and making props.

Caroline enjoys drawing, painting, woodwork, and crafts of all kinds. She likes spending time at the lake, the beach, singing, spending time with friends and especially family.

Marion Young was born at a very young age and hopes to be an adult when he grows up. As a colorblind electrical contractor it’s shocking he gets any work done. He is an avid sportsman who cooks what he harvests and comes home to two loving kitties who keep his feet warm at night. No stranger to Circle Theatre, he has been on stage or in the director’s chair for multiple shows since 2014, including Spamalot, The Unexpected Guest, Frost/Nixon, Clown Car, and Night of the Living Dead.
Donna is a NJ native who lived in FL and Georgia before coming to South Carolina in 1979.
She loves her work as a Chiropractic Assistant at Barnwell Chiropractic.
She has been married to Coley for 39 years and they have two children and three grandchildren, who are the light of their lives. They also have a small menagerie of dogs, horses, cows, donkeys, and chickens on their small farm. This is Donna’s fifth Circle Theatre play. (Thank you, Coley. Love, Cutie Pie). She was Backwards Bobo, the backward talking clown, in Clown Car. Donna played the psychologist, Ms. Sawyer, who said Kris Kringle was crazy in Miracle on 34th Street. She also played the lead character, Edith, in Showtime at First Baptist. And the wacky high school drama teacher in the murder mystery Death and Taxes.

Chuck Randall is excited to be making his debut on the Circle Theatre stage.
Chuck is from Barnwell and is married to Caroline Beasley Randall. They have two sons, Bryan (Adrianne) Randall and James (Jenna) Randall, and two wonderful grandchildren, Joshua and Natalie.
Chuck enjoys spending time at the lake, fishing, sports (especially football--Roll Tide!), and most of all, spending time with family.

Jeff Miller and his wife, Beth, live in Barnwell. They raised their two children, Kevin and Ashley, here. Jeff retired from Barnwell County District #45 in 2022 and, inexplicably, went right back to work for them, part-time. He was a 2-time Teacher of the Year, 4-time Region Coach of the Year (Tennis) and was selected to coach the South Team in the North/South Tennis Classic. After teaching honors and regular high school Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Calculus--while coaching for 25 years--Jeff is now "semi-retired" but finds himself busier than ever as he is the sportswriter for The People-Sentinel Newspaper.
Jeff's Circle Theatre credits include Clown Car, SPAM-A-LOT, The Sound of Music, and Second Samuel. Jeff was on the big screen as an extra in Clint Eastwood’s The Mule and was in The Program with James Caan, Craig Sheffer, and Halle Berry.
Jeff followed Beth (Producer/Director/Actor) and Ashley (Actor) to Circle Theatre. In addition to acting, Jeff serves on the Circle Theatre board and was a sponsor of the Junior Board.
Jeff and Beth have two beautiful granddaughters, Meredith and Hannah, who live in Irmo, SC with their Mommy, Danielle, and Daddy, Kevin.

Director's Notes
Community theatre productions comprised of amateurs are always a gamble. You NEVER know what is going to happen when the lights are raised! This production has been full of wonderful surprises, tons of laughter, reunions between previous cast mates, and newly made friends. We do our best to provide quality productions for our audiences' enjoyment each season and I can assure you that this show is no exception to our extensive list of wonderfully done shows. Our little corner of SC is FULL of first-rate actors and actresses who do an amazing job. We must continue to grow our numbers of willing volunteers to continue bringing such wonderful entertainment to our little slice of heavenly ground.
I must humbly thank my wonderful, never-failing to impress, always available to help, build or create, or take over a rehearsal husband, Jeff. (Smooch!) He did more for this production than I did, I think. We are usually on the same page with our thoughts and this production was no exception. After putting up with me for over 33 years, Jeff speaks "Beth" quite well and can even put words in my mouth that actually make sense to others.
Secondly, I cannot thank our cast enough for the tremendous effort they put into this production. Occasionally, one or more of them would do or say something and everything would ground to a halt as we fell over laughing. (They've made me snort more than a few times!) Frequently, we included their shenanigans as part of the scene. Our casts' creativity and willingness to try new things never cease to amaze me.
Thank you to Caroline for her prop making excellence and Chuck's willingness to be ordered about to make Caroline's vision a reality. Without their efforts, we'd not have the large and small details that give depth to our production.
Also, thank you, Marion, for agreeing to join our merry band to complete our cast and drag your dad, Frank, out of acting semi-retirement. And thank you, Becky, for letting me borrow Frank for a while.
Gary Brantley, you are the nicest and most generous person I've ever met. Thank you for your tutorial for our sound effects on the new equipment you have gifted the theatre.
I cannot end my "thank you" list without saying one to Coley Creech. You let me borrow your lovely bride, Donna, even though she has a grumpy husband at home! "Thank you, Coley! Love, Cutie Pie."
I could not have asked for a better group of folks for this production, and I am in awe of their ability, steadfastness, creativity, and work ethic. As the old saying goes, "those who cannot do, teach", so too in this case, "I, who cannot act, directs". Please enjoy your evening with us and come back for future productions. I promise, you will not be disappointed.
